SOXIAL helps people find real-world activities and join them. Most activities are organised by their host, not by SOXIAL. We review activities before they go live and we look into reports, but the host runs the activity.

Describe your activity truthfully: the time, the place, the meeting point, the group size and what people need. Tell people promptly when something changes or when you cancel. Do not collect money through SOXIAL; any payment is arranged directly with the people joining and is between you and them.

You decide whether an activity suits you. Read what to expect and what to bring, and consider your own health, fitness and circumstances. If you cannot make it, give up your spot so someone else can take it.

Some activities carry ordinary physical risk. Where a specific activity needs its own waiver or consent, the host must ask for it separately. These terms do not pretend to cover every risk of every activity.

Give truthful information. Do not harass, threaten or endanger other people, list activities you are not actually running, use SOXIAL for selling or recruiting, or try to get at information you are not meant to see. We can suspend or remove an account, a host or an activity that breaks these terms.

Use Need help to report a problem. The SOXIAL team reviews reports and may contact the host or the people involved. If you are in immediate danger, contact emergency services first — SOXIAL cannot send help.

This is a pilot. SOXIAL may be unavailable, may change, and may end. We provide it as it is. We are responsible for running the service honestly and handling your information as described in our Privacy notice; we are not responsible for what happens at an activity organised by someone else. Nothing here removes rights you have under South African law.
